The Web Admin Content Manager is composed of two parts: the Skin Manager and the Topics Manager. The Skin Manager is the new Web Manager's built-in Skin Editor that gives you control over the template design of your site.

The Topic Manager allows you to create web pages (Topics) in the easiest way possible by a simply choosing from tons of pre-formatted snippets on the right panel and then drag-and-drop them into the content canvas. Editing and adding images are a breeze. No HTML programming skills required. But HTML codes can also be controled by the tech-savvy designers.

Important Terminology

The following concepts should be understood before beginning the video, as these terms are used through the video and our other documentation:

• Template - The part of the page that remains consistent from page to page. This is the Master Page file (template.ascx) in the skins/Skin_(!SKINID!) folder.
• Stylesheet - The CSS document that contains the style rules for your website. The CSS stylesheet controls fonts, colors, layouts, and more.
• Token - A generic term for a small piece of code that renders out some dynamic content. Click here to see different Tokens and how to use them.
• Topic - A block of HTML content that is stored in the database. Topics can be their own page, or they can be used to render out a block of HTML that can be placed in different places throughout the website. Click here to see how to use the Topic Manager.
• XMLPackage - XmlPackages render out dynamic blocks of code. Usually they render out HTML, but they can be used for a number of different types of outputs. XMLPackages are responsible for the product and category page layouts as well as many other data driven areas throughout the Connected Business eCommerce. XmlPackages are written in xslt.
